Class 4 (four): To listen to and read a short legend and identify the main parts of the legend

En la sesión de hoy vas a escuchar y leer una pequeña leyenda e identificar sus partes principales.

Activity 1:	Think and comment with your parents, what are the differences between a legend and a story? Piensa y comenta con tu familia, ¿cuáles son las diferencias entre una leyenda y un cuento?
Activity 2:	Look at the picture and think what the legend is about. What do you know about it? Observa la imagen y piensa de qué trata la leyenda. ¿Qué conoces de esta historia?
Activity 3:	Now, listen to and read the short legend to choose the correct option. (You can complete this activity by using the Paint program in your computer or print and paste the activity in your notebook) Ahora, escucha y lee la leyenda para escoger la opción correcta. (Puedes realizar la actividad en la computadora usando el programa Paint o imprimiendo y pegando la actividad en tu cuaderno) Arthur is the father/son of Uther, the king of Britain, but no one knows this because he lives with Sir Ector and Kay, his son. He has lived there since she/he was born. After Uther’s death there is no king/queen in Britain. The local kings and princesses want to be the old/new king. A stone/rock with a seed/sword magically appears in London/Washington. The stone has an inscription: Whoever draws this sword from the stone will be the true king of Britain. The kings and nights/knights try to pull the sword but cannot do it. One day/night Sir Ector, Kay and Arthur go to a tournament in London. Arthur sees the sword and draws it from the stone. Arthur becomes the new king of Britain.
Activity 4:	Finally complete the table to identify the elements of the legend. Finalmente, completa la tabla para identificar los elementos de la leyenda.
